When Eight is Enough...

When You've Loved Too Hard, Stayed Too Long, and Lost Yourself Along the Way.  This Book Will Show You How to Rise Again

A Raw, Unflinching Memoir About Eight Relationships That Broke Her—And the Woman Who Refused to Stay Broken

Have you ever loved someone who didn't deserve you? Stayed in a relationship past its expiration date? Made yourself smaller just to be chosen?

When Eight Is Enough isn't just another breakup story. It's a survival guide written in scars, a testimony penned in tears, and a love letter to every woman who's ever had to choose herself after giving everyone else the best parts of her.
This is the memoir you need when you're questioning if you'll ever be enough—because it will show you that you already are.

A Memoir of Resilience, Redemption, and Rising

Love was never R.Renee.R's weakness...it was her fuel. She gave it freely to men who smiled with secrets, promised with empty hands, and walked away with pieces of her she didn't even know she had given.
This book chronicles eight defining relationships that shaped her life:

  • First love and the innocence it stole
  • Betrayal that shattered her foundation
  • Whispered prayers in the darkness
  • Courtroom battles for her freedom
  • Domestic violence that nearly silenced her voice
  • And the slow, messy, transformative journey back to herself

Between being a wife, mother, provider, and survivor, she lost herself. Finding herself again wasn't quick or easy—it was raw, revolutionary, and real.

Each chapter reveals not only the men who broke her, but the woman who refused to stay broken.

Introduction

I did not set out to write a book. I set out to survive. When I look back now, the story of my life is written not only in years but in relationships—eight of them, to be exact. Each one was its own chapter, its own classroom, its own battlefield. Some left me bruised, some left me wiser, and some left me staring at the woman in the mirror, asking, Who am I becoming?

This is not a fairy tale. You will not find a perfect ending tied with a bow. What you will find are real lessons carved out of heartbreak, survival, faith, and finally, self-discovery. You will see how I learned to stop confusing attention with affection, how I stopped auditioning for love, and how I finally discovered the most important relationship of all—the one I have with myself.

I wrote this book for the person who has ever stayed too long, loved too hard, or lost themselves in the hope that someone else might finally see their worth. I wrote it for the person who feels like they had to shrink to fit into someone else’s version of love. And I wrote it for the woman or man who is just beginning to believe that choosing themselves does not mean they have failed—but have finally found freedom.

These eight relationships were never just about the men. They were about me—who I was, who I became, and who I refused to be any longer. By the end, I realized something that changed everything: I am enough for me. So come with me. Walk through the laughter, the tears, the lessons, and the love that hurt but also healed. My hope is that somewhere in these pages, you will find pieces of your own story and the courage to write a new ending for yourself.

What I Hope You Take Away

My prayer is that these pages become a mirror...not to show you my reflection, but to help you see your own strength more clearly. That you'll recognize the patterns I missed, avoid the traps I fell into, and give yourself the grace I wish I'd had sooner.
I hope you'll understand that healing isn't linear. Some days you'll feel powerful. Other days you'll grieve what you thought love was supposed to be. Both are valid. Both are necessary.

And I hope that when you close this book, you'll know in your bones that you were always enough. The relationships that made you question that were the lie, not you.
Thank you for trusting me with your time and your heart. I don't take that lightly.
With love and light,
R.Renee.R
P.S. — If you've made it this far, you're already doing the work. Keep going. You're closer than you think.

Two Hot in Miami

At the edge of the tamed wilderness, his El Camino remained in motion, defying the stillness and control of the emergency brake. We parked in this secluded area tucked far back off the road. It had become our refuge for passion when finances ran dry. Outside in theopen, yet shielded from view, the park and campground gave us asense of daring, accompanied by adrenaline and hormones. It drewme in and intensified our passion in ways no other activity orsubstance ever could.
